Food and Hygiene Donations
We survive on the kindness of donations from the Hartselle and northern Alabama community, as well as many businesses, churches, clubs, and organizations state wide.
Any unexpired and unopened food is welcome! The groceries we need most are the types of things you use every day, especially fresh produce.
We do take cold and frozen foods and have refrigerators and freezers for storage.
Donations can be dropped off in the tubs or ice chests provided at our Office door any day of the week before 5:00 p.m. (even if the Office is closed).
Live security cameras at our location are manned around the clock. Volunteers on duty bring donations in quickly so you do not have to wait for them.
Hygiene and laundry supplies are always in demand:
- Laundry Detergents, bleach, fabric softeners
- Shampoo and hair conditioners
- Deodorants
- Toothpaste, dental floss
- BAR type bath soap
- First aid supplies
- Adult and children’s multi-vitamins, Tylenol, Ibuprofen
Also check out our Amazon wish list for items in high demand!

Donations are welcome through checks mailed or dropped off at our office and made out to Feeding Families of Alabama. We also accept donations through the options below and are registered with the IRS as a nonprofit 501-c3 charity. Donations are tax deductible. Let us know you want a tax receipt when you donate.

Duties varies from marking barcodes and stocking shelves to bringing in donations to cleaning the facility.
We do not allow children for safety reasons. Occasionally we do plan a Kids Volunteer Day which we announce in advance on our Facebook page. For more questions check out our FAQ page.
