A: The pantry is open to the public on the second Monday of every Month between 9:00 am and 11:00 am, no documentation is required!

A: No, we do not do delivery.

A: No, we can not provide any assistance for rent, housing, utilities, transportation, medical bills, or anything other than food.

A: No. We encourage you to make all doctor appointments, etc. on any other day of the month. The doctors offices are happy to arrange your appointments so you don’t miss food pantry day. Also, only an adult from your immediate household (who lives with you) may pick up for your family.

A: No. You must have legal custody or guardianship to claim your grandchildren.

A: It depends on the physical limitations you have. All volunteer jobs here include standing and at least some light lifting, bending, stooping, and the ability to move quickly. It is very fast paced, and physically demanding.

A: Yes. As long as you are aware that you must follow all rules, check in exactly on time, and remember that we do report back to the court about your time spent here. We can not and will not bargain with you in any way to get you through without fully completing the requirements mandated by the court. Community Service hours must be scheduled in advance with the director.

A: We allow mature teens 15+ years of age with parents signing a liability release form.

A: No small or young children are allowed for safety reasons and lack of work space.

Feeding Families of Alabama does not discriminate against anyone for any reason, regardless of age, gender, race, ability, sexual orientation, religion, physical address or social status!

Our policy is to provide a “No Judgement Zone” at our facilities, at all times, so that every client feels safe and comfortable when seeking help.

Additionally, volunteers are regularly trained and receive mentorship so as to comply with our strict non discrimination policy.
